Christy Hatcher is a West Australian writer who started penning wild stories all the way back in primary school. She ignored her father’s practical advice to study law or business and instead completed a Bachelor of Arts (Creative Writing) before moving to London. While there she further developed her writing through short courses, events and festivals. She has written many short stories and was short listed for the Talus Prize with her piece ‘Too Late’. She has also written travel articles for Scoop Magazine. In 2013 she was awarded a mentorship with the Australian Society of Authors. Currently working on her first novel, conducting research on satire and writing bad social media posts for small business, she lives in Perth where she juggles motherhood, too many pets and and an overwhelming desire to bake.
